HV Power systems is an integral part of Enable Infrastructure’s unique offering. We deliver a full range of innovative power engineering solutions, with our highly skilled Enable Power Systems team drawing on decades of experience in their daily work.
Enable Infrastructure has completed projects for Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) and for utilities companies, as well as delivering major rail power system projects across the UK from TFL and Network rail. We undertake both LV and HV (132Kv) work and are involved in diverse power-related sectors ranging from DC Traction to Electric Vehicle (EV) charging.
Enable Power Systems support the Enable Infrastructure project teams across a wide range of framework contracts, covering the transport sector, and other public sectors such as the Crown Commercial Services for the NHS trusts and UKAEA.
Our Power Systems teams, assisted by our in-house civils support, have constructed, tested and commissioned HV power assets including HV/LV distribution schemes that enhance and future–proofing local and nationwide utility networks.

Scope of Our Services
Enable Power Systems plays a pivotal role in upgrading power infrastructure across UK railway networks. We specialise in High Voltage (HV) distribution, focusing on electrification and decarbonisation projects to modernise and sustain rail transport.
Our Approach and Methods
As a Principal Contractor for Network Rail and Transport for London, we hold accreditations such as NICEIC, ISO 9001, 14001, 18001, and a five-star rating from the Railway Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme (RISQS). Our expertise includes installing and commissioning 25KV HV Feeder cable systems for new Overhead Line Equipment (OLE) upgrades, including the UK’s longest Network Rail feeder cable spanning 22.5 kilometres. We also excel in HV & DC traction and non-traction substation renewals, often working in live, safety-critical environments.
