Track Record and Key Projects
Enable Infrastructure has successfully completed several high-profile bridge projects, including:
- Lyminster Bypass Bridges Project: Constructed two precast composite deck bridges, each with a 27-meter span, as part of a relief road to improve access and traffic flow for a new housing scheme on the A284. The project demanded precise planning and execution, ensuring timely delivery and high standards.
- River Lea Bridge Works: Completed critical structural enhancements, including installing temporary ground support within the arches to maintain the integrity of the bridge. This project, carried out for Story Rail, showcased our ability to manage complex structural challenges effectively. (bearing plates)
- Parapet Extensions and Heightening: Executed on the Midland Main Line (MML) and Transport for Wales (TFW) networks, these projects involved altering bridges to accommodate electrification and overhead line works, demonstrating our expertise in adapting existing infrastructure to modern requirements.
- SPC/35: Enable Infrastructure were appointed by Story Contracting for the Reinforced concrete works for SPC/35, the bridge was being constructed due to OLE clearance requirements of the existing adjacent farmers bridge. Enable constructed new bridge abutments, assisted placing cill beams and deck beams, constructed pile caps, deck beam concrete infills, and concrete approach ramps. Works were carried out in a combination of mid-week days, mid-week nights and weekend possessions.
